Lily and David celebrated their sweet, intimate wedding among 20 of their closest family and friends on a Thursday in January. There is something so special about small, intimate weddings. For one, it seems much more laid-back than the traditional, large wedding. I can attest to that, as I also had a very intimate small wedding 10 years ago. The fact of the matter is a wedding isn't a one-size-fits-all. It's what you want it to be! Whether having a wedding with 200 people to dance the night away with, or 20 people to share a special moment in your life with - there is no right or wrong! you do you, brides!
We started the day with their portrait session held at The Highlands Mansion in Fort Washington. If you haven't been there before, you definitely need to go - especially in the late spring/summer months! 2 words; Ivy walls. Lily came out in a vintage-inspired tea length dress with subtle pops of read that paired well with Davids Marine uniform. They are just so darn adorable and I had so much fun photographing them - I almost didn't want our time to end! Their ceremony shortly proceeded after their portraits that was held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wyncote (which by the way, is just the sweetest little church to photograph in!) Take a peak at this sweet couple - they totally set the bar HIGH for my 2020 RBP couples!
